The World Olive Oil Exhibition has just been officially endorsed as Spain's leading international olive oil fair by the Ministry of Economy, Industry and Competitiveness. This endorsement recognises the merits of the WOOE, an event entirely focused on international business that has been held in Madrid for the past six years.
Recognition as an international fair provides an incentive to continue working to bring together the world's leading oil importers for two days. The WOOE is a unique opportunity for them to discover the enormous diversity and quality of oils produced mainly in Spain, but also in other countries such as Italy, Tunisia and Greece.
The latest edition of WOOE closed with 30% growth compared to last year and the satisfaction of having served as a commercial boost for the 120 participating oil mills, cooperatives and olive oil companies. Professionals from 53 countries also attended, having the opportunity to taste more than 500 olive oil references from different regions of Spain, as well as Tunisia, Uruguay, Greece, Australia and South Africa.

The WOOE aims to become the global benchmark for a trade fair dedicated exclusively to olive oil in all its forms. From modest olive pomace oil to extra virgin olive oil for gourmet cuisine. It has also incorporated a section for vinegars since its fifth edition and intends to do the same with table olives.
The parallel activities will focus mainly on aspects of marketing. The commitment to quality and creativity in packaging and labelling will also play a key role in the next edition of the event.
